The New Inn community pub at Norton Lindsay, Warwickshire, is one of 9 Community Businesses to be recognised in this year’s Plunkett Foundation Rural Community Business Awards.
The Award Ceremony, which took place on 27th November 2019, aimed to recognise those community enterprises which help to ensure that rural towns and villages remain vibrant places to live and work.
In addition to the New Inn community pub, which was recognised with the Community Story of the Year Award, other recipients included a farm, a woodland, a community hub, a cafe and community shops.
The Plunkett Foundation believes that community businesses are having a positive impact both socially and economically on rural life – bringing communities together to own and run their own enterprises.
